We were delighted to welcome representatives from our partner, enfinium to the Leeds site recently to show them our process first-hand.

enfinium are currently writing their annual ESG report and wanted to understand more about how O.C.O recycle APCr from the enfinium Ferrybridge 2 EfW facility.

Lizzie Bayley and Karl Sheehan hosted the visit from Philip Curds, Head of ESG and Sustainability and Wayne Robertson, General Counsel and were keen to show them the process of recycling their APCr into carbon negative sustainable aggregates for use in the construction sector. In 2022 O.C.O recycled over 24,000 tonnes of APCr from enfinium’s Ferrybridge 2 EfW facility, capturing 2,400 tonnes of CO2 – the equivalent of 112,300 trees and the M-LS produced as a result saved 84,205 tonnes of virgin aggregate from being used.
