Celebrating milestones which help shape our company culture
We are incredibly proud to recognise the people who have chosen to grow their careers with us over the long term. So far, 7 colleagues have reached the remarkable milestone of 10+ years with the business, with a further 11 colleagues already surpassing 8 years of service.

Considering O.C.O is still a relatively young business; these milestones are even more meaningful. Many of our colleagues have been part of our journey since we began in 2010, helping shape the business into what it is today through their commitment, loyalty, and hard work.
What makes these achievements even more special is the growth behind them.
Many of our long-serving colleagues started their careers in different roles across the business and have progressed into leadership and management positions, helping drive O.C.O forward along the way.
We are equally proud of the development opportunities available across the business. Through our apprenticeship pathways and professional development programmes, colleagues continue to grow their skills and careers with us.
Congratulations to Alicia, who has recently completed her CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate, and Charmaine, who achieved a distinction in her Level 3 Team Leader apprenticeship and recognised as Apprentice of the Month by Activate Learning—fantastic accomplishments alongside their full-time roles.
Alicia’s story
Alicia is a valued member of our HR team, and her role extends far beyond policies and procedures. She plays an important part in supporting colleague wellbeing, attracting new talent, and helping people thrive across the business. After moving from Site Administration into an HR Administrator role, Alicia developed strong practical experience and chose to further strengthen her knowledge by completing her CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate.
With employment law constantly evolving, the CIPD course has helped Alicia stay-up-to date with the latest changes and better support the business. The qualification, delivered through ICS Learn, was 100% assessment-based and split across four core modules, all directly relevant to her role. Each module reinforced her existing knowledge while providing practical ideas she could apply in her day-to-day work.

Charmaine’s Story
Charmaine leads the Quality Control team at our Avonmouth plant. She has progressed from Quality Control Technician to Quality Control Supervisor and now plays a key role in supporting her colleagues. Balancing her apprenticeship alongside a full-time role and personal commitments has not always been easy but she has shown real determination, supported throughout by her tutor at Activate Learning and going on to be recognised as Apprentice of the Month. The programme has helped her build new leadership skills and strengthen the support she provides to her team.
