High Sheriff of Norfolk visits O.C.O Technology’s sustainable operations in Norfolk
We were delighted to welcome the High Sheriff of Norfolk, Jo Pearson, to our carbon capture mineralisation plant in East Wretham.
The visit provided an opportunity to show how the site has developed since the relocation of our facility from Brandon and thank him for the support he provided when we first acquired the site.
Jo and his family were instrumental in the late 1990’s in transforming the Larkshall Mill from a derelict site into a state-of-the-art materials recycling facility before its acquisition by Viridor. Jo assisted us in understanding the site and its infrastructure, and it was our pleasure to invite him back to share the processes we use to produce our sustainable aggregate and how it supports the circular economy.

Wretham is the largest of our three UK mineralisation plants, producing approximately 163,000 tonnes* of sustainable aggregate each year.
Jo was joined by Paul Barber, Head of Aggregates (Bound), and Lee Thompson, Operations Director, who shared the progress made and discussed how local knowledge, engineering expertise and strong partnerships can support O.C.O.’s continued growth in Norfolk.
