Sustainability Report Published

O.C.O have published their latest sustainability report for the 2022-2023 financial year.

Director of Technology and Sustainability, Dr Peter Gunning said “Every year I’m delighted that the business has been successful in achieving so many of its sustainability goals”. He added “We have again improved our carbon footprint, maintained a great health and safety standard and embarked upon many exciting new projects both in the UK and overseas”. 

The business has continued to grow with a significant increase in production and waste recycled. This has increased the amount of carbon utilised and combined with the improvements to the carbon footprint has meant that the UK business captured over 20,000 tonnes of carbon.

The business’ performance was recognised at the National Sustainability Awards where we received the Carbon Capture and Storage Award. The business maintained its ‘excellent’ rating for BES 6001 for responsible sourcing, achieving a rare full marks.
