In a recent speech given at the London Climate Technology Show at Olympia in London, Sir James Bevan, Chief Executive of the Environment Agency, listed O.C.O Technology as one of the ‘smart’ businesses stepping up to help tackle the current climate emergency.

In the speech, entitled ‘Pay It Forward: Investing in A Green Future’ he explained how our patented process turns hazardous waste that would otherwise be sent to landfill is being used to manufacture a carbon-negative aggregate which is helping innovators in the construction industry move towards greater sustainability.

Sir James gave the speech after visiting our Avonmouth plant in August to see the process first-hand.  The aim of the speech was to highlight the importance of the private sector rising to the challenge of tackling the climate crisis because, not only is it the right thing to do, but it is also ‘crucial for any business that wants to survive and thrive’.
